About the Founder
CommonEd Consulting was founded by Aminata Daramy, a former K–12 educator and district leader turned organizational strategist and technology consultant.
With over a decade in education — including facilitating more than 170 formal stakeholder processes and earning formal district recognition for her contributions — Aminata brings a practitioner's understanding of how organizations actually function under pressure. Her MA in Government and Data Analytics from Johns Hopkins University, combined with Salesforce Business Analyst and AI Associate certifications and an Education Pioneers Fellowship, give CommonEd a rare combination: research depth and hands-on implementation capability.
Aminata is an active member of the Houston civic community, currently serving as a Development Special Programs Researcher with the Junior League of Houston. She is a 2025 Education Pioneers Fellow — selected from more than 4,700 education leaders nationwide — where she developed Power BI data integration systems for early childhood education initiatives at Collaborative for Children.
She founded CommonEd because she believes the communities most deserving of excellent infrastructure are often the ones least served by mainstream technology consulting.
